Nemesis Coffee Surrey review with an ube matcha and that mortadella sandwich

Iced ube matcha latte with green matcha over purple ube milk at Nemesis Coffee Surrey

I went to Nemesis Coffee in Surrey on the stat holiday this week, for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. No work, lots of sun. Try the ube matcha everyone keeps posting about. It was SO good. The mortadella sandwich too, the one Nemesis is famous for online. This is my Nemesis Coffee Surrey review, with everything to know before you go.

Nemesis Coffee Surrey at a glance

Where to find Nemesis Coffee in Surrey

Nemesis Coffee Surrey is inside Surrey Pavilion, at 13380 102A Ave in Surrey City Centre. It’s the fourth Nemesis location and it opened in February 2025 (Daily Hive wrote about the opening).

Coming by SkyTrain? Surrey Central station on the Expo Line is the one I would start from. Check the walk on your map app first. Apple Maps also lists validated parking, so ask the staff if you drive.

The ube matcha latte at Nemesis Coffee Surrey

This is the drink I came for. Green matcha on top, purple ube milk on the bottom. It is so pretty! It only looks like this for about 2 minutes, so take your photo fast.

Ube is a purple yam. The taste is soft, a little nutty and a little sweet, and it goes well with the earthy taste of matcha. Stir it so you get both in every sip. My verdict is very good. If you don’t like ube, maybe skip it. If you’re even a little curious, order it.

The mortadella sandwich at Nemesis Coffee Surrey

Then the signature sandwich. The Nemesis mortadella sandwich went viral on TikTok, even before the Surrey location opened. Daily Hive called it a fan favourite too.

Ours came on a metal plate. A spiral croissant bun, a fried egg, folded mortadella and so much melted cheese. The cheese drips off the plate, so lean forward. Look at the swirl on top of the croissant, so crispy! I tried to take a clean photo but I failed because I just wanted to eat it.

Never had mortadella? It’s an Italian deli meat, smooth and savoury, a bit like bologna.

Sitting on the Nemesis Coffee Surrey patio

We sat outside, and that made the whole visit nicer. There are trees and tall grass around the tables, and a glass tower behind them. It’s a very Surrey City Centre view. Sun on the table, a cold drink, a warm sandwich. SO NICE!

It was a bright, dry day. I think the patio is best on days like this so check the weather before you go.
