I have had Angelina’s Dutch Corner on my “want to go” list for ages. My partner recommended it a while back, but you know how it is, you need the right timing to transit out to New West for brunch.
So when my friend Stel asked for a lunch spot last week, I threw the suggestion out there. She had actually been here before with coworkers and was happy to go back, which I took as a good sign. We headed to the River Market at the Quay, which has a nice, more relaxed vibe than dining in downtown Vancouver.
When the food arrived, it was clear we weren’t going to leave hungry. Look at the massive portion!

I went for a classic, hearty breakfast plate. It came loaded with two sunny-side-up eggs, sausages, ham, and perfectly roasted potatoes. We both appreciated the fresh fruit bowl on the side to balance out all the savoury items. We spent a long time just catching up, drinking water, and watching the super-foggy Fraser River.
Overall, it’s a solid spot if you want good portions and a nice view (except fog days unless you’re super into it) without the downtown rush in the morning/noon.
